  • Wii Wake-Up for Seniors: Today from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., the  will turn its conference room into a playing field with Nintendo Wii. Seniors can learn how to play Wii, then go bowling, shoot a round of golf, throw a virtual frisbee, and more.
  • Best Book Trailers: Drop by the library from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. to make a trailer of your favorite book. Learn filmmaking techniques to plan, shoot, and edit a teaser about the literature you love, then enter the finished product in a contest.

  • Tax Day: Annual motor vehicle taxes and semi-annual real estate taxes are due in Darien tomorrow, July 1. According to the Tax Collector's Office, taxes must be paid within one month of the due date to avoid penalty interest. Delinquent taxes are subject to interest at the rate of 18 percent per year (1.5 percent per month, $2 minimum) — or any part thereof — from the original due date of the tax.
  • Dog Licenses: To avoid a penalty, Darien dog licenses must be renewed for the coming fiscal year before the end of the day today. Owners can stop by the 's office (Town Hall room 101) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For information on fees and required paperwork, check here.
