Darien Patch Office Hours: Come Weds., 10 - Noon

Come on over to Panera, have a cup of coffee and tell David Gurliacci a thing or two about how Patch could do a better job, then ask him to help you figure out how to upload that picture of your cute kid.

You're invited to Darien Patch's "Office Hours" on Wednesday, June 27 at , 1063 Post Rd. between 10:00 and noon.

Join me, the local editor for Darien Patch, for coffee on us and to discuss what stories or features you'd like to see on Patch, or how you'd like to use the site.

Ever thought about becoming a Patch blogger? We can help you do that! Interested in posting a review or rating of a local business? We'll show you how. Would you like to know how to upload an announcement or event listing? (If you're planning to hold a tag sale this summer, you should post an event listing for it.) We can show you just how that's done.

We can also show you how to post pictures to , our community picture gallery. Posting pictures to works the same way.

If you know of any young person interested in becoming a journalist, send that person over and I'll do my best to talk him or her out of it. You'll thank me when they're out making real money with much less grief in some other (OK, any other) job.

Patch is meant to be your site and serve you, so let us show you how to use it and tell us how we could do it better.

We're looking forward to seeing you there on Wednesday!

Editor's note: This article originally was posted on Tuesday. The time stamp has been changed in order for the article to appear in the Darien Patch newsletter.

I'm at the front end of Panera with my Macbook and a big "Patch" sticker on it.
