Foggy Morning in Darien: Drive Carefully

The National Weather Service has issued a "Dense Fog Advisory" in effect until 9 a.m. The weather service says driving will be more hazardous in parts of southern Connecticut, Westchester County and the lower Hudson Valley.

Driving will be more hazardous in parts of southern Connecticut, Westchester County and the lower Hudson Valley until 9 a.m. Monday morning, according to a "Dense Fog Advisory" issued by the National Weather Service.

"A 'Dense Fog Advisory' means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less," the weather service stated.

"Slow down," the service advises drivers. "Use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed."
