On behalf of the Town of Darien, I’ve offered our prayers and support to Newtown First Selectwoman Pat Llodra and her community especially to the families and loved ones of the innocent victims. Willful violence against children is the worst possible crime and one that we as compassionate people cannot tolerate.

School administrators, Darien Police and town officials are working together to make sure our schools and town facilities are safe for you and your children.

This tragedy will touch us all in different and very personal ways so schools, community organizations and places of worship will be providing support services for those in need in the coming days.   Let’s support one another and pray for our neighbors in Newtown whose lives have changed forever today.
