Election Day: If you live in voting district II ( polling station) or IV ( polling station), today's your chance to cast a ballot in the special election for the 27th State Senate district, vacated earlier this year by Sen. Andrew McDonald. Vying for the seat are (R), (D), and (G) (check out ). Polls will remain open until 8 p.m.

Accidental Beekeeper: Today at 10 a.m., the hosts coffee with Marina Marchese, author of Honeybee: Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper. The event is part of DCA's "Meet the Author Series."

Town Meetings: Kicking off a light municipal schedule this week is the TV79 Advisory Board, which meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in room 206. Members will discuss technology, budget issues, and the channel's Board of Selectmen coverage.

Hockey Victories: Both of the Blue Wave varsity hockey teams , with the boys downing Trinity Catholic, 5-0, and the girls besting Wilton, 3-2.

Wintry Slop: Alas, Monday's burst of snow may not be the final word in winter weather for our area. The National Weather Service is calling for a mix of rain and snow from Friday to Sunday, with temperatures alternating between the 40s during the day and the upper 20s overnight.
