Five Things to Know About Darien, June 13

Serendipity Chorale: The Serendipity Chorale of Southwestern Connecticut will perform at the Darien Senior Center from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact the center at 203-655-1705.

Story Times: Two different story times are scheduled at the  today. Drop by from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. for "Preschool Time," featuring stories, songs, and act-outs for children ages 3 to 5. Then from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., bring your family to "Sleepytime Stories," a pajama story time.

Extended Hours: The library will also be open late today and Tuesday (9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.) to accommodate the final exam push.

Boards and Commissions: Meeting today at Town Hall are the Darien Beautification Commission (9 a.m., room B-3), the TV79 Advisory Board (7:30 p.m., room 206), and the RTM Public Works Standing Committee (8 p.m., room 213).

Dog Licenses: Darien's annual dog licensing period continues today and runs through the end of the month. To avoid a penalty, new licenses must be procured on or before June 30, when the current licenses expire. Owners can stop by the 's office (Town Hall room 101) weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For information on fees and required paperwork, check here.
