Small Island: The 's Wednesday Matinee Film Series continues today at 2 p.m. with a free screening of Small Island. The 2010 film follows the lives of two couples — one Jamaican, one English — in post-WWII Britain.

Town Meetings: At tonight's meeting of the Environmental Protection Commission (7:30 p.m., Town Hall Auditorium), members will hear a presentation from Choose to Reuse's Nina Miller on reducing the use of plastic bags in Darien. Also meeting tonight are the Zoning Board of Appeals (7:45 p.m., room 206) and the Five Mile River Commission (7:30 p.m., Rowayton Community Center).
