Study Sesh: The hosts a study session for teens today from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Light help on homework will be offered, and school supplies and snacks will be in abundance.

Good Causes at DHS: Students from two different Darien High School organizations are seeking the public's help with ongoing fundraising efforts. The Blue Wave football team is set to end its winter weighlifting program next week with . Meanwhile, the Darien High School Fuel Cell Team is seeking support , where they will be only school representing the state.

Hockey Losses: Both the Blue Wave boys and girls hockey teams  Wednesday. The boys fell to New Canaan by a razor thin 1-0 score in the FCIAC tourney, while the girls were knocked out of state title contention in a 5-0 loss to Ridgefield.

Transfer Denied: The Board of Finance this week to a selectmen-backed plan to fund design work for the town's pending building shuffle. Members were hestiant to transfer $326,000 out of a contingency account and later deadlocked on a scaled-down, $61,000 proposal to finance just the first phase of design. The issue will come before the board again at its March 8 meeting.
