Happy birthday, Whole Foods!: Today through Saturday, Whole Foods Market Darien . Drop by between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to sample items from across the store, see cooking demos, and enter for a chance to win prizes.

Drop-in story time: Today from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., the hosts a "laptime" with stories for pre-walking babies and caregivers.

Dog Days: Continuing today and running through June 3 is the 's Dog Days of Darien exhibit. The show  of man's best friend in nature. Drop by weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ribbon Cutting: The hosts to mark a new collaboration between the Life Solution Center of Darien and Contemporary Care. Wine, appetizers, and a healthy dose of networking will be served at the center (36 Old Kings Highway S). The event is $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-members.

More rain, you say?: More showers and thunderstorms are possible today through Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service. Thanksfully, conditions appear likely to dry out going into next week.
