Floyd Landis Appears in Norwalk Court, New York Woman Arrested at Greenwich CVS

GREENWICH: A 25-year-old after she attempted to pick up Oxycodone with a fake prescription at a CVS pharmacy in Riverside. Latisha Stacey Bankston of the Bronx was charged with two counts each of second-degree forgery and obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, as well as criminal attempt.

NORWALK: Former professional cyclist Friday morning to face a misdemeanor charge for evading responsibility following a minor accident in a rental car that damaged a city fence last month. According to police, it took Landis more than 24 hours to report the incident. Landis received a simple postponement of his case and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 14.

WESTPORT: Efforts to bring a movie theater to downtown Westport hit a stumbling block Thursday after the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission withdrew its own rule amendment amid criticism that it permitted a structure of 60 feet. The Commission voted four to two in favor of withdrawing amendment 637.
