For Getting a Magazine Award, Darien's Coromandel Restaurant Gets State Citation

Coromandel restaurant wins a "Best in Connecticut" award from Connecticut Magazine in January, so state Rep. Terrie Wood presented the restaurant with a state citation.

Recently, after Coromandel restaurant in Darien received an award for "Best Indian Food" from Connecticut Magazine, Wood added to the accolade by presenting the restaurant owner, Jose Pullopilly, with a state citation and a news release with her own endorsement of the establishment.

State Representative Terrie Wood (R-141) presented the owner of Coromandel, Jose Pullopilly, with a state citation after his restaurant achieved state wide recognition for Best Indian food from CT Magazine. The restaurant has called Darien home for the past thirteen years, and has since opened up five other locations. Rep. Wood was completely touched to present them with the award. “Coromandel is one of my family’s favorite fueling spots! The food and service are one of a kind, I can’t think of a better establishment to win in that category,” said Rep. Wood.
