Rain through the day and snow at night is in the Darien-specific forecast from the National Weather Service.
“Precipitation should change back to all snow this evening before tapering off later tonight,” said the National Weather Service in a "Special Weather Statement."
The mixture of rain and snow could cause slippery conditions on the roads.
Here's what the weather service forecasts for Darien:
- Tuesday afternoon: " Rain. High near 40. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible"
- Tuesday night: Rain and snow before 10 p.m., then a chance of snow. Low around 31. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph.
