....kudos to Patch for including information like this. It's a throw-back to the kind of stories that would have appeared in a Darien newspaper in the 19th Century....

Lisa, they usually find a wooded area to hide where they hunker down for 24 to 48 hours. He will wander out when hunger get the best of him and hopefully someone will spot him. http://www.findtoto.com is a fee based service that will put out a reverse 911 call to your neighborhood and/or surrounding areas. Come home Butler! I shared his picture as well.

Our Golden got 'lost' and was gone for a long time. Turns out he had run into a neighbor's garage and they closed their garage door and he was stuck in there. Finally found him when they came home from work the next day. Go house to house and check all the closed garages. Good luck.

Any updates on Butler? Great advice Kara -- just heard of a little one missing from the fireworks. She dug herself under someone's porch and couldn't get back out. Luckily someone found her in time. Garden sheds, etc. are also known hiding spots.

I heard a story from a motorist this morning, who saw a black dog with red collar on 95. I hadn't seen this announcement regarding Butler or I would have pressed for further details. I hope you find Butler as soon as possible.
