Wendy Ryan, sales specialist for Al Filippone Associates, reported late Saturday that power was out in portions of the downtown area.

Darien resident Frank Adelman, meanwhile, told Patch that service was knocked out on Harriet Lane and Harriet Lane East—both off of Tokeneke Road near the Rowayton border—around 10:55 p.m.

Several outages rolled across Darien earlier this week as the hot weather sparked unusually high demand, but it was not known if weather contributed to Saturday's incident.

More on the outage as information becomes available.
