Birders from Darien and Stamford led Patch on a tour around Cove Island Park recently, sharing tricks of the trade and explaining why they enjoying gazing at our feathered friends.
Along for the ride was Chris Bosak, a local birding expert who writes "For the Birds," a column which appears in The Hour, and hosts "Bird Calls," which airs every Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on WSTC/WNLK AM 1400/1350.
Bosak, along with fellow Darien residents Alec Wiggin and Bill Van Loan and Stamford resident Maryann O'Leary, says birding cultivates an appreciation of nature and sheds light on its elaborate designs.
