Metro-North Running Significantly Behind After New Haven Line Stoppage

MTA said the cause was a power control problem in Manhattan.

All Metro-North New Haven Line trains have been ordered to stop at the next station they reach and wait because of a power issue.

MTA Spokeswoman Marjorie Anders told Patch the train stoppage on the New Haven Line was due to a "power control problem in Manhattan."

At 4:30, the MTA issued the following statement:

"Due to an earlier power outage in Grand Central Terminal we are currently experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes in both directions."
