No New Canaan Branch Trains This Weekend

Metro-North Railroad says bus service will be provided Sunday and Saturday due to tree work along the railway to Stamford. Bus schedule attached as PDF.

 

Weekend travelers seeking to take Metro-North Railroad trains to New York City this weeked from the New Canaan Branch—including Talmadge Hill, Springdale and Glenbrook stations—will need to use a bus service or drive to a station on the New Haven Line.

Metro-North Railroad said in notice posted Thursday (attached as a PDF) that tree work must be done and so interim buses will be provided Saturday and Sunday.

"This service change is being done to accommodate necessary tree removal work," Metro-North says. "Train service is expected to resume on Monday, May 4."
