Readers' Choice for St. Patrick's Day: The Goose
It's the Goose by a feather over Darien VFW Post 6933 as the best spot to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in town.
Congratulations to The Goose! The , and Darien Patch readers gave the nod to the restaurant at 972 Post Rd. as the best spot to celebrate Ireland's patron saint.
But the at 205 Noroton Ave., with its got just as many votes in our poll. What decided this was the rating/review a reader had posted on the Goose's .
On its website the Goose says, "celebrate with Guinness Draught & Jameson's Irish Whiskey Specials served alongside your favorite Irish Classics from the kitchen. The band starts at 9:30, but the fun begins long before then. Get here early and stay late."
