Readers' Choice Winner: Chuck's Steak House

The winner of for serving the best steak in town is , with 70 votes.

Coming in a close second was , with 62 votes.

and also had a good number of fans for their steaks.

Someone or some people voted too many times for at the end of the week—there were more votes for that restaurant, all of a sudden, on Wednesday and Thursday than there were individual visitors to the Web page where the vote was held.

As a result, all of those votes for Giovanni's were discounted (which is a shame, because my family and relatives have told me they enjoy the steaks there). The restaurant had been behind both Chuck's and Goose in earlier voting.

There were no new ratings or reviews for any of the restaurants, so only the poll results were used. This is too bad, because future readers probably are more likely to pay attention to what a reader's review says than to a poll: A review shows more enthusiasm and gives more details.
