Home Invasion Reported in Greenwich

Greenwich Police are investigating a reported robbery of a home in central Greenwich.

According to a statement released by Greenwich Police, officers were "dispatched to a private residence early this evening around 5:30 p.m."

According to the statement, "A Greenwich resident had returned home and found her mother had been forcibly restrained by unknown assailants. The victim, who was home alone, was surprised by two white male suspects wearing ski masks."

"Upon entering the home, the suspects demanded money and struck the victim in the face causing her pain and minor injury," according to the statement. "Prior to leaving the residence, the suspects bound the victim's hands and feet." 

Police did not say what was stolen from the unidentified victim and that more information would be released on Wednesday morning.
