This summer, a mountain lion was sighted in Greenwich and a few weeks later, a mountain lion—not necessarily the same one—was killed in on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in Milford. The Milford cat’s DNA matched that of a cougar that originated in Minnesota, and may be from a group from South Dakota.

SHELTON: “If your husband was one of the firemen in danger like mine is, I am sure you would find yourself in the same boat!”— This from one Shelton Patch reader in . That official had sent a to firefighters on an ongoing problem of emergency responders’ equipment and systems being outdated, citing shortfalls from both the fire and city side.

WESTON: “If children and adolescents do not live in your home, you may still want to get in the habit of locking them up if they come for visits. In addition to education, open communication with your children is key.” — So said one Weston Patch user on a  that encouraged parents to lock up their meds, citing data that teenagers, not necessarily young children, are most likely to misuse drugs.
