An estimated 100,000-plus area residents descended on downtown Stamord under sunny skies Sunday afternoon for the Parade Spectacular. Presented by and , the popular annual holiday balloon parade entered its seventeenth year, as giant helium balloons floated down Summer Street behind grand marshals Laura Linney, John Benjamin Hickey and Gabourney Sidibe of Showtime's "The Big C."
