Where'd You Dine in Darien When Money's No Object?

Hey, big spender, if you won the lottery and had to pick a restaurant in Darien to celebrate, where would you go?

Congratulations, you've won the lottery and you've got $5,000 a week coming in for the rest of your life—and did we mention that your dear, departed Aunt Mildred just left you her mortgage-free mansion in Beverly Hills?

You were going to invite everybody out for hamburgers at Duchess—your very favorite food that you think everybody would love—but your mom reminds you that this isn't just about food: You'd embarass the family unless this night's magnificent.

So, big spender, which restaurant in town are you going to take your 25 very closest friends to spend a little time celebrating tonight and not look cheap?

We know there are some other restaurants in town that we could put on this list (feel free to tell us in the comments), but we had to choose five, so here they are:

, 22 Center St.

, 1020 Post Rd.

, 972 Post Rd.

, 1077 Post Rd.

, 2748 Post Rd.

[Editor's note: The above statement about you winning the lottery and Aunt Mildred's millions is not meant to be an accurate reflection of reality. Patch will not reimburse you after the waiter hands you the bill—and we don't care who your lawyer is.]

No joke. But after seeing the political talent in the state, I don't hold out much hope.
