To the editor:Darien needs to elect Shannon Silsby to the Board of Education on Nov. 5.
Over the years, I have chaired many PTO committees and am a member of the RTM. I am also a former NYC public school teacher with two children in our schools, so I have a good understanding of the highlights and challenges in our district. Having worked with Shannon for years, I know that she is a trailblazer.
She is an outstanding leader - spearheading several innovations on the Royle PTO including Rally for Reading and the return of the Royle Round-up. She understands the big picture yet sorts through details.
She carefully considers all options but is decisive. She always delivers and the product is consistently excellent.
I will confidently cast my vote for the team of Silsby/Sullivan and I encourage you to do the same
To the editor:
We are writing in support of Shannon Silsby
for our Board of Education. Shannon is a creative problem solver who is
not afraid to roll up her sleeves and do the hard work necessary to get
a job done.
She is dynamic and intelligent with experience that will drive positive change. We have witnessed this many times over including three years ago when we worked together to resurrect the Royle Round Up fair after a 20 year hiatus.
Shannon is well qualified for the Board given her extensive experience advocating for children and families in Darien as Co-Chair of the Royle PTO, Vice Chair of CDSP and MMS Executive Board Member. She is a working mother of four children in our schools who knows what we need.
Darien would be lucky to have Shannon on the Board of Education. Please join us in supporting her on November 5.

To the editor:
support Shannon Silsby’s candidacy to the Board of Education. We are
confident that with her solid background in community involvement she
will work tirelessly to create an environment that promotes the
education of Darien’s children.
Her successful management career in major corporations has prepared her to work with people of different points of view and backgrounds to come together for the good of our children.
As a neighbor for over ten years we can speak with confidence that she is bright, energetic and capable. These qualities she embodies will serve the board well. Shannon has our enthusiastic support.
