Community Yoga Class in Darien to Benefit the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County

We at Elements Yoga and Wellness Center (354 Heights Road in Darien) are excited to announce a new series of Community Classes, running now through the end of February 2014. The classes, held each Friday night from 5:45-6:45pm, are donation-based (or free, if you need it to be), and led by the graduates of our 2013 Teacher Training and Advanced Studies Program.

From now through Christmas time, donations from these classes will be given to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, located in Stamford, CT. There are two ways to support – through cash or food item donation. These resources will be distributed to our neighbors in Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Norwalk, and Greenwich.

As specified by the Food Bank, the most needed foods are: cereal/oatmeal, canned fruit and vegetables, canned chicken, canned tuna, breakfast cereals, pasta, pork and beans, juices (bottles and boxes), powdered milk, parmalat milk, peanut butter, grape jelly, soups, macaroni and cheese, jarred spaghetti sauce, rice, applesauce, coffee, dried beans, canned black beans.
