Community Corner

Author Scarlett Lewis, "Nurturing, Healing, Love"

The Darien Community Association (DCA) is delighted to present author and Darien native Scarlett Lewis on Tuesday, February 25th at 11:00am. (This event was originally scheduled for January 21st, but had to be cancelled due to the snow.)

Scarlett joins us to talk about her book Nurturing, Healing, Love. It chronicles her life in the months after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting which took the life of her six year old child, Jesse. Scarlett will share her story about love and survival, how to face the impossible, find courage when you think you have none, and choose love instead of anger, fear, or hatred.

This event will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 25th, and is $10 or $5 for DCA members.

Reservations are requested and can be made online at dariendca.org, or by contacting the DCA at info@dariendca.org or 203-655-9050. Barrett Bookstore will offer "Nurturing, Healing, Love" for sale at the event. Proceeds of book sales will benefit the charity Scarlett formed in her son’s honor, the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation. The DCA is located at 274 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT 06820
