On Sunday, April 27th at 4:00pm the Darien Community Association’s Duo Piano Group will present music from many lands in their spring concert entitled ‘Around the World on 88 Keys.’
The group will perform scores such as Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Copeland’s “Hoe Down,” Octavio Pinto’s “Scenas Infantis,” and Holst’s “Jupiter” from “The Planets.”
Performing members include Darien residents Jon Thackeray and Yuki Yamaguchi, Wilton resident Karen Curtin, New Canaan resident Kathy Edwards, Yoko Araki from Greenwich, and the group’s newest member, Michael Karpilow from Fairfield. Violinist Darwin Shen will also perform; the group’s Musical Director is Sandra Shaw Murphy.
Tickets are $10.00 for the concert; complementary refreshments will be available.
