Election Day Food Drive Benefiting Person-to-Person

  • Person-to-Person
    (P2P) is will host its second Election Day Food Drive in Darien at all Darien
    polling sites on Tuesday, November 5th.

  • P2P
    is asking for voters to bring non-perishable food items to their local Darien
    polling site to help the P2P emergency food pantry. Polling locations include
    but not limited to: Town Hall, Darien High School, Tokeneke Elementary School,
    Hindley Elementary School, Holmes Elementary School, and Ox Ridge Elementary
    School.
  • Last
    year, P2P volunteers collected 2,800 pounds of food valued at $3,100. The
    donated food benefited low-income individuals and families in Darien and

    surrounding communities.
  • In
    2012, Person-to-Person served more than 13,000 people
    with groceries for meals and have a constant need for non-perishable food
    items.
  • This
    is the second year of the P2P Election Day Food Drive.
