A Roaring 20s Gala
DARIEN, CT – February 5, 2013 – The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is pleased to announce this year’s spring benefit, “A Roaring 20s Gala,” which will be held at the Country Club of Darien on March 23, 2013. Tickets for the benefit will go on sale starting mid-February at the YWCA Darien/Norwalk website www.ywcadariennorwalk.org or by calling the YW at 203-655-2535.

William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage and Insurance is this year’s title sponsor. Their generous donation represents William Raveis Real Estate’s commitment to giving back. The Gala contribution is part of the firm’s total donation made to YWCA Darien/Norwalk in September 2012.

Reaching back to an era of flappers and jazz, the Gala will feature open bar and dinner and guests may choose who they would like seated at their table. Guests can mingle, dine and dance at this event which includes cocktails and a sit down dinner. A silent and live auction will also be featured.
The elegant evening will transport attendees to the unburdened world when the corset was abandoned for sleek knee-length dresses and feathery boas. For over 25 years, the YWCA has proudly held a Spring Benefit. The committee for the benefit includes a number of members of the YWCA Newcomers Club as well as others who have been YWCA members for several years. Deb Papaeconomou is heading up the Gala committee with …. extensive event planning experience for non-profit organizations.
