Darien Library Spring Into Reading Gala

The Darien Library has scheduled its fifth annual Spring Gala for Saturday, April 27th at 6:30pm. This year's Gala, "Spring Into Reading," is dedicated to raising funds to expand resources within the library, including purchasing new books, eBooks, movies, magazines and books on CD. In addition, donations are also allocated to supporting programs presented by the Library, such as discussion groups and author visits.

Almost 50 volunteers are working on the event, led by Darien-ites Rachel Donovan and Jessica Blouin. Gala attendees can expect to enjoy live music by the Doug Allen Band, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres by Simply Creative Catering, a silent auction and a live auction.

"It's a beautiful event and a great cause," said Rachel Donovan, Co-Chair of the Gala. "Don't miss it!"

The Spring Gala will take place at the Darien Library located on 1441 Post Road. Tickets are $130 per person ($100 is tax deductible) and they can be purchased on the Darien Library website starting on March 15th: www.darienlibrary.org.
