STAR, Inc. Presents Speakers Luncheon with Jenna Bush Hager:  “The Power of Compassion and How It Can Change Lives!”

STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way is proud to present its first speakers luncheon featuring Jenna Bush Hager on April 4, 2013 at Woodway Country Club in Darien. Ms. Bush Hager’s speech, titled “The Power of Compassion and How It Can Change Lives” will benefit STAR’s programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The luncheon will be moderated by Sharon Crowley, TV reporter and anchor for WNYW Fox5 and WWOR My TV9 News.

Jenna Bush Hager will share her inspiration and powerful experiences, as the daughter and grand-daughter of former United States presidents, contributing correspondent for NBC News’ Today Show, former chair of UNICEF’s Next Generation, and author of two books: NY Times best seller, “Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope” and “Read All About It!” a book co-written with her mother, former First Lady Laura Bush.

Jenna Bush Hager is a contributing correspondent to NBC’s Today Show where she focuses on telling the inspiring stories of wonderful people doing great things across America. In 2006, Jenna traveled to Latin America as an intern with UNICEF.

During her journey, she was inspired to write Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, a New York Times best seller based on the life of a 17-year-old single mother determined to shield her child from the abuse and neglect that riddled her own childhood.
