Learn to Play Mah Jongg at the DCA from Monday, March 18th

Popular instructor Joan Allocca is back at the DCA to teach another Beginning Mah Jongg class in March.

Originally from China, Mah Jongg is a game of skill, strategy and calculation, with a certain degree of chance.  Played with a set of 136 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, 4 players methodically select, pass and discard tiles, each with the hope of creating a legal hand. The DCA provides the Mah Jongg sets required for play.

This class will take the newcomer to Mah Jongg through understanding the tiles, using the Mah Jongg card, and rules of play, with several hours of practice.
