“Leatherface,” the main character of the iconic film Texas
Chain Saw Massacre,
will be in town to meet and greet the public – and spend a little “face” time with fans.

For admirers of horror flicks, it can’t get much better than this, with props from the movie on display and an opportunity to ask Dan Yeager, the actor who
portrays “Leatherface,” about his career and the movie.  Admission and parking is free.

Yeager will be in town to promote the sequel to the original classic motion picture. Texas Chainsaw 3D was released nationwide on January 4.  It was number one at the
box office on opening weekend, grossing $21.7 million -- the only direct sequel to the original classic.

“This is an opportunity for me as much as it is for the film’s followers,” Yeager said from his home in Los Angeles. “It’s a chance for me to meet and thank the fans for their support and continued enthusiasm.”

The event will be Sunday, January 27 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Norwalk, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free movie poster and every 30 minutes there will be giveaways of items from the film.  Actual props and costumes worn in the films will be on display.  There is a charge for autographs and photos with Yeager.

In the original film, the child of a cannibalistic family living in Newt, Texas, dons a mask made of human skin and embarks on a power-tool-driven rampage.

“This film is pure escapism. It’s full of surprises for horror fans and Texas Chainsaw devotees.  Audiences who enjoy a thrill will enjoy the new movie, as well as the clips and cameos by the original cast,” said the actor.

The DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton is located at 789 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, at exit 13 off I-95.  For more information, visit www.collectleatherface.com.
