Meet the Author Jane Green at the DCA

Popular novelist Jane Green will discuss her book, another piece of my heart, at the DCA Book Group’s “Meet the Author” program on Tuesday, February 26.

In “another piece of my heart,” Green dramatizes the challenges of step parenting.  When Andi (aged 37) marries Ethan, all at once she becomes both wife and stepmother to his two teenage daughters.  When tensions escalate between Andi and one of the daughters, Emily, they threaten the marriage and all that Andi had hoped for. As a review from the Library Journal put it, “The book will keep readers on edge as they wait to see how these tense family dynamics play out.”

Born in London, England, Jane worked as a journalist throughout her twenties, writing women's features for The Daily Express, The Daily Mail, Cosmopolitan and others. At 27 she published her first book, Straight Talking, which went straight on to the bestseller lists, and launched her career as "the queen of chick lit.” She now lives in Westport with her second husband, Ian Warburg, six children, two dogs and three cats. She writes a daily blog and contributes to various publications including The Huffington Post, The Sunday Times and Self.
