Explore! Games People Play, at the DCA

The Darien Community Association (DCA) continues the “Explore! Programs for Women” workshops with “Explore! Games People Play” on Wednesday, January 22nd.

Fairfield County is full of avid Bridge, Mah Jongg and Canasta players. But for someone who doesn’t yet play, choosing the right game can be difficult. How hard is it to learn? How much time will it take? What boards/tiles/cards are required? How much will it all cost? Join us to figure it out, when several enthusiastic players of Bridge, Mah Jongg and Canasta - Amy Squyres, Robin Ackerman, and Instructor Sue Ozanne - take us through the basics of what it takes to play the game.

This program will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd from 1:00 to 2:30pm. Program fees are $15, or $10 for DCA members. Reservations are requested through dariendca.org or with the DCA directly at info@dariendca.org or 203-655-9050. Scrumptious refreshments provided by Carolyn’s Absolutely Fabulous Events may encourage participants to linger and chat with our presenters or other participants…

“Explore! Programs for Women” are designed to help women identify their capabilities and interests, and pursue their goals. Our next event will be “Explore! Volunteering” on February 12th. For some, these sessions can help them recapture a sense of purpose. For others, sessions may be more about investigating specific topics, and networking with other women having similar interests. For all, this is a great time to Explore!

The DCA is located at 274 Middlesex Road in Darien.
