Joanna M. Leone, Trumbull author of "Slices of Life Italian-American Stories" has been invited to be a guest speaker at a private luncheon for the Rotary Club of New Canaan. The private function will be held at the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan at 12:15pm on 8/22. The event is open to Rotary Club of New Canaan members as well as any Rotary Club member in Connecticut who wishes to make up a missed meeting. Her book contains cultural, educational, and historical stories about Italian-Americans who shared their special memories with her. Also, there are stories about celebrations, traditions, family love, devotion, struggles, romance and travel. Most of Leone's book signings are public, but she also has been invited to speak at private functions. Her book will be available for purchase and signing along with complimentary book marks. She looks forward to meeting the Rotary Club of New Canaan members during her presentation. This will be her first invitation to speak at a Rotary Club event.
