Kelly Corrigan, best-selling author, returns to Darien for The Community Fund of Darien

Kelly Corrigan won the hearts of many when she came to Darien in 2008 to speak about her best-selling memoir "The Middle Place".
Barrett Bookstore and The Community Fund of Darien are delighted to welcome her back! She will be the guest speaker at a benefit luncheon on Wednesday, February 12th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at The Country Club of Darien. The tickets are $55.00, which includes a light lunch and a signed copy of her new book "Glitter and Glue."
"Kelly Corrigan's heartfelt homage to motherhood is every bit as tough and funny as it is nostalgic and searching. It's a tale about growing up, gaining wisdom, and reconciling with Mom (something we all must do eventually), but it's also an honest meditation on our deepest fears of death and abandonment. I loved this book, I was moved by this book, and now I will share this book with my own mother-along with my renewed appreciation for certain debts of love that can never be repaid."
-Elizabeth Gilbert, New York Times bestselling author of "Eat, Pray, Love."
