LOFT ARTISTS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES
“2014/13 New Members” Exhibition
 January 4 to February 2, 2014

Opening Reception: Friday, January 10, 6-9 PM

Stamford, CT - November 30, 2013: The Loft Artists Association is starting the new year with an exhibition of works by 13 new members. The “2014/13 New Members” Show will run from January 4 to February 2, 2014 in both the East and West Galleries at 575 Pacific Street in Stamford. The galleries will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4:30 pm through Sunday, February 2, with an Opening Reception to be held on Friday, January 10 from 6 to 9 pm.

Ellen Gordon, president of LAA, says, “We’re delighted to welcome such a diverse and talented group of artists to complement our existing base of established members.”

The show will introduce Lucienne Buckner, sculptor; Kathy Muir, photographer; Yuko Ike, a painter who also works in drawing and ink; Barbara Campbell, mixed media; Princess Cureton, painter and mixed media; Carolyn Lyngholm, painter and mixed media; Oksana Tanasiv, painter and collage; and painters Julliette Tehrani, Tom Lynch, Sholeh Janati, Maria Friscia, Rosa Colon, and Ken Delmar.  Background information and artist statements for all of the new members will be on display at the show.

The Loft Artists Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to building connections within Fairfield County’s visual arts community and exposing the general public to artists and their work. Their grassroots events attract thousands of visitors throughout the tri-state area and have been recognized by funding agencies, including the Connecticut Commission on the Arts, corporate and private sponsors, the City of Stamford and by visitors who return year after year.
