New Beginning French Language classes start in the New Year

The Darien Community Association (DCA) is delighted to confirm that Florence Anglade will again hold two levels of beginning French language classes, starting on Monday, January 6th, 2014.

In Beginning French, students learn the basics of the language, with an emphasis on listening and speaking skills. Advanced Beginning French is also available, for those who have some knowledge of the language and are able to join a group of practicing French speakers. These are both very interactive classes, so students should plan to set aside time outside of class to practice between sessions, to get the most of their time.

Instructor Florence Anglade - French citizen, native French speaker and Darien resident - teaches these classes in an informal setting. Class sizes are limited to 6 to ensure students have plenty of time for questions and practice under Florence’s experienced eye.

These classes will be held on Mondays over 12 weeks (excluding the January 20th and February 17th school holidays), starting from January 6th, 2014. Beginning French is held from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Advanced Beginning French runs from 12:00 to 1:00pm.  Course fees are $370, or $310 for DCA members. Payment in advance is required and minimum enrollment applies. Registration can be completed online at dariendca.org or by contacting the DCA directly at info@dariendca.org or 203-655-9050. Enrollment ends at noon on Thursday, January 1st, 2014.
