Stamford Hospital Lunch and Learn: Vacines

Stamford Hospital is
hosting their monthly lunch and learn on Tuesday, September 24.  The program will cover vaccines and the
importance of being vaccinated as a senior citizen.  Individuals over 65 years of age might find
it surprising that in order maintain good health; the need arises to deal once
again with vaccination. Regarding specific illnesses such as the yearly flu,
elders have a bigger chance of this transforming itself in a more complicated
scenario. Hospitalizations due to do flu symptoms for senior citizens are not
at all uncommon and in occasion might even lead to death. In order to avoid
such extreme situations, yearly vaccinations against the flu are highly
recommended. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) adults 65 years
or older comprise 90 percent of deaths that occur each year from complications
related to influenza and pneumonia. Lunch (free of charge) will be served at
