As the houselights come down, The Man in Chair reminisces about the 1920’s Jazz age of Broadway . As he listens to 1928 recording of his favorite musical, the (fictional)“ Drowsy Chaperone” , the characters come to life in his living room. The show-within-a show parodies Broadway musicals in a way that’s entertaining for all. With two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate Broadway producer, an eager chorus girl, a past-his prime Don Juan, and a “drowsy” chaperone, hijinks ensue as identities are mistaken and accidents happen!
