YWCA’s 5th Annual Cookies, Cocktails & a Cause Fundraiser
YWCA Darien/Norwalk is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Cookies, Cocktails and a Cause Ladies Night for Thursday, December 5th at 7:30pm at Nielsen's Florist at 1405 Post Road in Darien. Non-members and members are invited to attend this cookie swap and cocktail party benefit that will be held
7:30-10:00 pm. Advance
ticket purchase is required at ywcadariennorwalk.org.
Due to the
overwhelming success of last year’s event, the YW is thrilled to return to
Nielsen’s and once again partner with Michael Joseph’s Fine Foods. The event’s title sponsor is William Raveis.
Event
festivities include a holiday cookie swap (which is optional) and cookie
contest for those who bring a recipe. Michael Joseph’s team of chefs and
managers will judge the cookie contest.
Wine and other beverages will be kindly provided by Leary’s Liquor and
White Bridge Wines of Darien and served along with delicious hors d’oeuvres
prepared by Michael Joseph’s. Women who
bring cookies for the swap and contest can take home an assortment of the
festive holiday cookies created by other attendees.
One of the
highlights of the event will be a raffle of fantastic prizes generously donated
by local merchants that include Infinity Fitness, CST50, Bash, Barrett
Bookstore, Equinox, Chelsea Piers, Erika
K, Rory's, Juliska, Lanphier Day Spa, Vineyard Vines, Williams & Co, Dolce, Ten Twenty Post, and Nielsen’s. Raffle
tickets will be sold at the event and can be purchased with cash or checks
only.
Due to
overwhelming demand, last year’s event sold out two weeks prior to the event and raised over $5,700 for the YWCA
Darien/Norwalk and its community outreach programs. These programs include
Parent Awareness which encourages the positive development of Darien youth by
providing education to families and Job Search Support which provides guidance
for women in all stages of the job search process.
“We’re
thrilled that Nielsen’s Florist offered once again to host this year’s event as
it provides the perfect holiday backdrop for this festive fundraiser,” said
event Co-Chairs Liz Ezbiansky and Emily Marty.
“We are also grateful for the
continued support from William Raveis as they return as our title sponsor. We look forward to a successful evening for a
wonderful cause!”
