The Darien Youth Commission presents the annual community-wide movie this Friday, Nov. 17. All are invited to the Darien Playhouse for a “free” screening of the newly released A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carey.
In lieu of payment, each moviegoer is asked to bring a donation to benefit the Social Services Holiday Gift Drive. Suggestions for unwrapped gifts: a new toy, gift cards, a new winter hat, mittens or gloves.
Pick up tickets at the Darien Youth Commission office in the Town Hall between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13.
Theater doors open later that afternoon at 3:45 p.m. and showtime is 4:30 p.m.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Sponsored by the Selectman's Office, the Darien Youth Commission, the Depot, the Darien Social Services Department and the Darien Playhouse.
