What's in Your Wallet? Maybe a $1 Million Lottery Ticket
The $1 million ticket was sold in Fairfield County.
The Connecticut Lottery sent out this news release on Wednesday:
Someone who purchased their Mega Millions lottery ticket for Tuesday night's drawing is $1 million richer. The ticket that matched all 5 numbers was sold somewhere in Fairfield County, according to the CT Lottery Commission.
The winning Mega Millions numbers on Dec. 10, were 5 - 12 - 22 - 41 - 65, the Mega Ball number was 13 and the Megaplier number was 2. In total, 56,594 winning Mega Millions tickets were sold statewide, with prizes ranging from $1 to $1,000,000.
Meanwhile, there were no jackpot winning tickets sold for the Dec. 10 Mega Millions drawing, so the Friday, Dec. 13 jackpot has jumped to $400 million, with an estimated cash value of $216.4 million — the second largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
Mega Millions is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Connecticut tickets must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. on Friday for the 11 o'clock drawing.
The overall odds of winning a Mega Millions prize are 1 in 14.7. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 258,890,850 million.
