Middlesex County Job & Career Fair on Oct. 29

“Successful Job Search Campaign Messages” will be presented by Labor Department employee Ross Primack beginning at 10:30 a.m. and again at 12:30 p.m.  Topics include advice on writing a cover letter to help highlight your talents, tips on perfecting your résumé, and effective methods for using social media to sharpen your job search.

The Middlesex County Job and Career Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza, 100 Berlin Road in Cromwell, and is sponsored by Connecticut Department of Labor, Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Alliance.

According to State Labor Commissioner Sharon M. Palmer, recruiters for more than 45 companies will be on site and professional résumé writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor will be present throughout the event to assist with résumé development and to offer tips and information about finding a new job or on changing careers.
