Darien's residential average sale price rose 7.9 percent, according to the latest comparison, year-to-date statistics through June 30 available today from the Darien MLS.
Results in other major categories comparing January through June 2012 with the same period in 2013 were --
-- Sales off 11.9 percent;
-- Sales volume lower by 5 percent, and
-- New listings down by 17.7 percent.
