Brave Collection Founder Jessica Hendricks to speak @ Darien Nature Center, Sunday 4pm

Kristen Harnisch invites you (and your middle- and high-schoolers) to hear Jessica Hendricks, Founder of The Brave Collection, speak about the fight against human trafficking and slavery.

According the the U.S. State Department, “human trafficking has now become one of the fastest growing and most lucrative criminal enterprises in the world…” UNITE The World With Africa, Global Girls and Guys Unite (GGU), and the Darien Nature Center present a talk by Jessica Hendricks, Founder and Director of The Brave Collection this Sunday, November 11 @ the Darien Nature Center from 4-5:30p.m.  The Brave Collection is a social enterprise that uses fashion to illuminate and fight human trafficking & slavery. Ms. Hendricks started The Brave Collection in her early 20s, and she is fast becoming an internationally recognized advocate in the fight against modern-day slavery.

With a focus on sustainability and all that is possible, this event will educate, inspire, motivate and reinforce UNITE & GGU’s central message that there is nothing that stands between us and the problems at hand.  Bring your middle-schooler or high-schooler to this wonderful event to reinforce the message that we are all empowered change agents.

Suggested donation: $10 per person. For more info email anne@unitetnz.org or visit www.thebravecollection.com.
