Darien Route 1 Corridor Study - Community Open House - Wednesday, June 6, 1:30-3:30

Darien Route 1 Corridor Study - Community Open House Tomorrow!

You are cordially invited to a Community Open House for the Route 1 Corridor Study, hosted by the South Western Regional Planning Agency (SWRPA), the Town of Darien, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Date:                 Wednesday, June 6, 2012

Time:                1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Place:                Darien Library – Mezzanine Conference Room

The study team has developed a variety of transportation improvement recommendations that address the safety and mobility needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit users throughout the study area while also creating a framework for complementary development strategies in Downtown.  Presentation and discussion topics will highlight:

  • Transportation improvement recommendations for the study area;
  • Implementation plans for the very-near, near, mid, and long-term improvement programs;
  • High-priority project recommendations.

This is the final community open house that will be held for the Route 1 Corridor Study.  This is an important opportunity for the Darien community to provide input into the corridor improvement plan before it is finalized.  We encourage you to come speak one-on-one with members of the study team and let us know your thoughts on the twenty-two projects and initiatives that compose the overall plan.

For more information about this study please visit: www.darienroute1study.org or contact Sue Prosi, Senior Regional Transportation Coordinator at (203) 316-5190 or prosi@swrpa.org.

yes, we LOVE Glen Gate. Worth every penny and they always come quickly if something is not workingRead More (even on memorial day last year!!) Their staff is so kind, respectful and polite, especially with my children. I like them so much I always remember them at Christmas.
