Thomas Daley, 70, Co-Owner of Barrett Bookstore

Thomas Matthew Daley is survived by his wife, Sheila Ewing Daley, two children and nine grandchildren.

Thomas Matthew Daley, the co-owner of since 1997, died at Stamford Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

He was the husband of Sheila Ewing Daley, also co-owner of the book store, the father of William M., Christopher, and Maria Daley, and grandfather of nine. The son of Robert N. Daley and Catherine Foley of Wellesley, MA, he was born in Boston on August 15, 1941.

Thomas Daley graduated from St. Sebastian's Country Day School in 1959 and from Boston College in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He was a member of the New York Stock Exchange from 1967 to 1997. In 1997, he retired from Henderson Brothers, where he worked as a specialist.

The family received friends at the on Monday, Dec. 26. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday. Burial followed at Spring Grove Cemetery.
