When Patch staff set out to determine the top pizza options in Darien, it was hard enough to narrow the choices, much less winnow down the criteria that define “best.” For some, the crust is key: thin crust, thick crust, or crust with an edge fat enough to serve as a handle. But appearance, price, temperature and toppings are key variables too.
Pizza, as with other foods like wings, fries, burgers or sandwiches that we eat with our hands, elicits strong opinions. Our guess is that Darienites are fiercely loyal to their favorite spot for pizza.
